Voces Unidas is no longer doing community clinics since the vaccine is more readily available now.

VACCINE EQUITY
Voces Unidas is committed to ensuring that Latinos have equitable access to the vaccine.
Our advocacy started April 2020 to make sure that Latinos were not being left behind during the response and recovery efforts of COVID-19.
In addition to advocacy, we have also modeled how response and recovery efforts should be done in our community for our community.
Our temporary promotora program has been assisting individuals with scheduling appointments at local hospitals and clinics to show that if we reduce language and technology barriers Latinos will be vaccinated.
We have also rolled up our sleeves as an organization to model how vaccine clinics should be executed for our community. We have administered 2,382 doses in our own community clinics. We stopped doing vaccine clinics in June 2021 because the vaccine became readily available.
Lastly, Voces Unidas has launched a Spanish radio campaign to promote vaccine safety and increase Latino participation in the vaccination program.

CAN I GET THE VACCINE AT A VOCES UNIDAS CLINIC?
Voces Unidas hosted many vaccine clinics from January through June to add more points of access for the Latino community. However, now that the vaccine is available in more places, Voces Unidas is referring members of the community to the available clinics in the community. The vaccine is now available at local pharmacies, medical clinics and hospitals. Also, local governments are hosting clinics throughout the community.

WILL VOCES UNIDAS BE OFFERING BOOSTER SHOTS?
No. Since Voces Unidas is not a healthcare company, we are not offering booster shots directly. We encourage everyone who has been vaccinated to get a booster shot at any community clinic where the vaccine is available.
IS THE VACCINE FREE?
Yes. The vaccine is free of charge.
WILL MY IMMIGRATION STATUS DETERMINE IF I CAN RECEIVE THE COVID-19 VACCINE?
No, anyone who lives in Colorado can get the vaccine, regardless of immigration status.
WHAT IDENTIFICATION DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?
None. ID is not required. You will be asked to provide basic information like name, date of birth and address. But you do not need to bring an ID.
HOW MANY SHOTS DO I NEED FOR THE VACCINE TO WORK?
Moderna and Pfizer both require two shots; Pfizer vaccine requires shots 21 days apart and Moderna vaccine requires shots 28 days apart. Johnson and Johnson is a single shot vaccine.
